Healing Our Relationship with Water and Saving Our Global Ocean
Oceans Earth and Us
Welcome to The Essence of Water Art Exhibition
Experience The Essence of Water exhibition through a collection of paintings, story and poetry, the delicate nature of the Ocean and become aware of how deeply we are connected to the element of Water & the Oceans, the largest Eco system on the Earth. With awareness we can begin to make conscious changes for the future, changes which support a more harmonious, healthier sustainable way forward for the health and future of Humanity, the Oceans and for the Earth as a whole.
Water is The Essence of all Life. The oceans absorb up to half of all human CO2 emissions and they also provide half of our atmospheric oxygen levels. The absorption of CO2 emissions are altering the pH levels of the Oceans and causing the Oceans to become increasingly acidic. This will create dead zones as plankton and corals - the primary producers for nearly all marine life - struggle to survive under increasingly inhospitable conditions. For the future well being of the Oceans, individually and collectively we need large and rapid reductions of global CO2 emissions. Become aware of how connected to the global Ocean we all are , how we all affect the Oceans and find out how we can all play our part, by adopting a more caring attitude to the water, seas and global Ocean. Alongside reducing our own personal carbon dioxide emissions, with information from the Save our Seas Foundation. Information from the UK Ocean Acidification Research Programme, Oceans Under Stress -Hot, Sour and Breathless leaflet- from Plymouth Marine Laboratory. The Essence of Water booklet written by myself.
