Remembering
 Our Deeper Relationship with Water
 and Our Global Ocean

Through a collection of paintings, story,  poetry and information discover more about the delicate nature of the Ocean and of how deeply we are all connected to the element of Water and the global Ocean, the largest Eco system on the Earth.
With more awareness we can begin to make conscious changes for the future, changes which support a more harmonious, healthier sustainable way forward for the health and future of Humanity, the Oceans and for the Earth as a whole.

Becoming aware of how connected to the global Ocean we all are is so important. Understanding how we all affect the Oceans through our daily activities is empowering in the knowledge and wisdom that we can align with how we can all play our part in adopting a more caring and pro active relationship with the Water, Seas and the global Ocean.

Alongside learning how easy it is to start reducing our own personal carbon dioxide emissions, with information leaflets called -
Eco Tips to Save Our Planet from Save our Seas Foundation.
Information from the UK Ocean Acidification Research Programme
Oceans Under Stress Hot, Sour and Breathless leaflets from Plymouth Marine Laboratory.

WORLD OCEANS DAY 2025
WONDER

Sustaining what sustains Us

Information on and from the United Nations World Ocean Day
2025 event

The ocean’s wonder is what draws us in and often drives our desire to protect it. Wonder is the foundation of scientific knowledge, the allure behind exploration, the curiosity that drives innovation, and the seed of traditional wisdom. In the face of increasingly daunting challenges, the act of wondering serves to remind us that we are part of something bigger. It wakes us up to our inherent connection to the earth and to each other, expands our understanding of what is possible, empowers innovation and prioritizes decision-making for collective well-being.

This World Oceans Day, we celebrate the ocean’s essential wonder from all of the wonders it consists of to the wonder it ignites, and call on decision-makers to not lose sight the ocean’s wonder when determining its fate.

Held in Nice, France on 8th June 2025

WORLD OCEANS DAY
Saturday 8th JUNE 2024

Information on the United Nations World Ocean Day 2024 event-
Theme: Awaken New Depths The ocean sustains humanity and all life on earth. Nonetheless, despite our utter reliance on it, we have only ever explored ~10%. While we know little of the ocean compared to its immense vastness, what we do know is that the consequences of our actions are evident throughout its waters.
The knowledge on the ocean’s dire state is clear. Still, each year humanity continues to make shallow and short-sighted decisions that further the likelihood of the ocean’s, as well as our own, demise.

We don’t have time for “out of sight, out of mind.” Our relationship to the ocean needs to urgently change, and our efforts have only skimmed the surface to date. To motivate widespread momentum for the ocean, we need to awaken new depths.

The ocean is the lifeblood of our planet. It provides oxygen for every second breath we take. But the ocean is caught in a cycle of serious decline. Without a healthy and sustainable Ocean Humanity's place on this planet will be in jeopardy.
We need to #SaveOurOcean. Please share the message/click on this message for the face book short film.

Water is the essence of all Life.

The oceans absorb up to half of all human CO2 emissions and they also provide half of our atmospheric oxygen levels.
The absorption of CO2 emissions are altering the ph. levels of the Oceans. This will create dead zones as plankton and corals - the primary producers for nearly all marine life - struggle to survive under increasingly inhospitable conditions.

For the future well being of the Oceans, individually and collectively we need large and rapid reductions of global CO2 emissions.

UNEP which overseas the implementation of Agenda 21 and Sustainable development at global level has recognised that Art has a role to play in increasing public awareness. It has stated that the world of Art has always played a critical role in provoking thought and generating dialogue.
